$35 iPad Like Touch-Screen Tablet Developed by IIT Students in India
India’s answer to MIT’s $100 laptop is here. Some folks from IITs and ISC India has developed a touch-screen tablet which looks like iPad with a price tag of just $35. Yes, it is unbelievable but true. Indian ministry has unveiled this tablet today at official press conference and shown the device as well. Kapil Sibel shown the device and told media that it is our answer to MIT’s development back in 2005 – 06. This project was initiated and funded by Indian government for students in India. The plan is to distribute such laptop to every student in different universities and colleges in India. Of course this will boost broadband connectivity throughout country.
