Notion Inc Adam – India’s Answer to Apple’s iPad

In past couple of months, we talked about Apple’s iPad and now Steve Jobs unveiled the iPad is the most hyped event in Apple history. when iPad was in development phase, few IITians in India were working on another tablet PC named ADAM. Yes, Hyderabad based Notion Inc company is ready to unveil their own tablet PC in Mobile World Congress, Barcelona with lot many advanced features and options. ADAM is fully developed in India and by Indians. One of the most interesting part of ADAM is that it runs on Android 2.1. Developers of ADAM are every much concerned about the price of their device and that’s why they are using some cost effective means to avoid higher cost of the device.

There were so many speculations about the technical specification of this device but here is the final specs of ADAM which was taken by Technoholik.

Some of the missing features in the first version of iPad is included in ADAM. For example, Inbuilt camera is not there on iPad but a 3MP camera is provided in ADAM. Same is the case of video output of 1080p is available with ADAM.Much talked flash support missing in iPad is included in ADAM.

As you can see the comparison chart of iPad and ADAM, you can see that ADAM manufacturers are definitely trying to hit the missing parts of iPad by including them in ADAM.

Anyway, regarding the performance comparison of these two devices, we will have to wait for few months so that we can have a clear picture about the performance, smoothness and other aspect of these devices.
